Update Those Bookmarks

It's almost time to update those bookmarks kiddos... well, if you are like me an a bit antsy, you can update them now. Starting in 2010 I will no longer be blogging... in fact, I will be tumbling over on TUMBLR. I've started to get it all nice and ready for you and have even moved some of my past entries over there... I'd really appreciate any feedback you might have... so stay tuned... official launch is January 1, 2010!

I once was laughed at for being a major self-promoter... but it seems I am not the only one out there... and anyway, in this business, one has to look out for one's self, right? Recently, I received not one, but TWO solicitations to become fans of current friends on Facebook. I'm usually really quick to confirm, but when I thought about it, should I send them a link to confirm being fans of Paul Gosselin, well, I bet they would be quick to hit the IGNORE button... just saying, that's a strong possibility! So, should I become fans of them? Should I ask Colin and Scott to become fans of me and see what happens?

I figured it out... So you probably noticed for quite some time that I have been absent from my blog. Well, there are several reasons for that, one of which has been the immediacy of Twitter and how I can microblog much faster than sit down and type out full blown entries. Another reason, was I got burnt out with my writing. I may have mentioned I was cheating on this blog with another one while I anonymously discussed my private life (ie: sex) somewhere else on the internet... That was fun to do, but I felt like I had a purpose writing that one, and it made my own blog look dingy. Finally, the beginning of the year, my momentum was lost when I mourned my grandfather, friend and then this spring my other grandfather... I didn't like blogging about sadness, even though it was keeping the blog honest.

Following my date night with the Hot Mess in Manhattan, I really started to think about our conversation and what it really is I want out of life. I've done a lot of soul searching and have really come to a conclusion (at least this part of my life) that will get me to blog again and it will stay true to being the best of COSMOPAULITAN ENTERTAINMENT! I don't want to say too much at this point because I'm going to plan it out a little bit better and get a real clear focus. Then, once I'm ready, I'm just going to take off and I hope that you will come along for the ride. So stay tuned because I'm really excited!

Actor Paul Gosselin is ready to continue to make his mark on the Big Apple and beyond. I've been making strides, as you know, and have recently sent out a huge mailing to many people. In the mean time I am surfing the net and finding that maybe a Web series is where I should focus some of my energy, right? There's Gotham the Series, The Battery's Down and now this new trailer for Venice, which appears to be a cult favorite among many of the Guiding Light family!! The Bravest 10-Year-Old I know...

I recently read/tweeted an article in a local Arkansas paper. It was regarding this 10-year-old boy who was refusing to stand and say the Pledge of Allegiance because he did not feel the country was holding up to this pledge. When it states, liberty and justice for all, Will Philips feels, much like myself and many others, not all have that liberty and justice. It's truly encouraging to hear this young American speak, because he truly is the voice of the future! Kudos to you Will!!

Throughout the summer, I would get weekly updates from my mom regarding my Nana's night at the BINGO. Like clockwork, every Thursday, I would find out how much Nana won, or if it was simply a donation night... meaning Nana walked out with nothing. I've saved most of the text messages simply because I liked to keep track of how well Nana did. Now, I feel, following tonight's message, I needed to share these with the world! I must note, BINGO in the summer happens every Thursday night, but now that it is no longer Summer, these text messages keep happening sporadically throughout the week, so I don't expect them when they arrive!

July 23, 10:37pm: Grandma, only got $8.50 at the bingo tonight.

July 30, 10:08pm: Grandma won $36.50 tonight, she bingoed 3 times, even once with Uncle Francis!!!!!

Aug 6, 9:46pm: Grandma won 35.00 tonight & Uncle Francis won 31.00 -so they both had a good night

Aug 13, 9:34pm: Grandma won 10, i won 8, Greg won 33.75 - bingoed 3 times, and Michelle won 70

Aug 20, 9:33pm: Grandma went bingo three times- got a total of 33.75

Aug 27, 10:06pm: Grandma won the last 70.00 game, and 12.50 on another - bingoing with someone. Uncle Francis won also.

Sep 3, 9:22pm: Grandma bingo 2x there were only 19 there. She won 18.75!!! 1st time she had to split with 6 others!!!!!!!!

Sep 24, 10:01pm: Gram won 12.50, Mary went again & didn't win again. Pickle jar still didn't go, it was up to 267.00

Oct 1, 9:26pm: (via email) Grandma won 25.00 tonight at the bingo... my cell isn't working... dropped it in water today... it's coming back... hopefully it will be working...;o( - going crazy without it..

Oct 14, 10:15pm: Gram just called, she went to bingo in Burlington tonight, she won 50.00!!!!!!!

Oct 21, 10:06pm: Grandma won 50.00 again tonight. She cannot seem to bingo along, !!!! Oh well better than nothing.

Oct 24, 10:11pm: Grandma went to the bingo tonight, she won 70!!!!! 25 on the first quickie, then 45 on a special.

Oct 28, 10:10pm: Nothin at the bingo for grandma tonight.

Nov 4, 10:06pm: Grandma won 102.00 tonight. She was pretty excited.

If you are keeping score, Nana has won $534.50 since I started keeping track. Keep in mind there is a small donation my Nana makes each week to play BINGO, but I don't have those figures, they aren't included in the texts I receive!

The Thespian Within

When I was in my first year at The New York Conservatory of Dramatic Arts (or The School for Film and Television) one of my first Finals had to do with a monologue from select passages from Charles Dickens A Christmas Carol. With Disney's new 3D "A Christmas Carol" coming out this Friday, I thought it would be quite fitting to actually resurrect that monologue. I really quite enjoy it. The monologue takes place during Scrooge's visit to the past with the Ghost of Christmas Past. Belle is telling Ebenezer that they are through and that he is a changed man. It's truly a remarkable piece. Aside from that class in school, I haven't been able to do it anywhere else, so I'm hoping that by resurrecting it I can bring it to auditions and wherever need be... fingers crossed it makes it out of the bedroom and into places that matter! ha!!

Today is election day, and while it may not seem like a big deal compared to last year's Presidential race, it is still your right as an American to get out there and VOTE!

Several races today are putting equality on their ballots and I urge those voting in Maine, Washington and other areas where equality seems to be a hot topic, to vote for what is right...
