This past weekend was kind of wonderful! As I mentioned yesterday, it really took me by surprise how much I enjoyed myself throughout the festivities. My weekend started off on Saturday at 44 1/2 where my friends organized a 'Fusion' party and attended by several cast members involved in the 'Fusion' storyline on All My Children. It was quite fun and was nice to see so many familar faces, some I had not seen in quite a long time! Well, following the party and my raffle duties, Michelle, Jo and I headed down to The Canal Room to see my favorite Rockstar, Bobbie Eakes, perform in the Daytime Divas show. Bobbie was joined on stage with Kassie DePaiva and my original OLTL co-star: Kathy Brier! It was quite the show! I think what made it even more enjoyable was the eye candy I spotted at the booth next to ours... YUM!
We stayed and hung out with Bobbie's sister and mom and watched as the girls signed tote bags and posed for pictures! They were like a well oiled machine! It was kind of fierce to watch how fast the line went and how gracious they were to their fans that showed up to support! I headed home and did my research to see if I could hopefully find the eye candy on Facebook and thankfully we have a mutual friend, so it made it a tad bit easier. Had I taken part in VH1's The Pick Up Artist last summer I probably would have had an easier time saying 'hi' but thankfully Facebook came in to save the day! Sunday, Lauren and I did headed down to Times Square as we wanted to see a show and when we got out there was a line for the Wicked Lottery so we decided to try our luck. Unfortunately we did not start out the day winners... we also lost tickets in the Virtual Hair line as well... we were not having much luck anywhere. So we walked down Broadway and were handed a pamphlet for The 39 Steps. I looked over the information and it looked like a good show and we had both heard good things about it, so we tried our luck over there to see if we could get student rush tickets! SCORE! $26.50 later we each got a ticket and headed to Olive Garden for lunch! The show was pretty amazing! It has been a long time since I've seen a straight play and it really fell in love with the theater all over again! I also loved seeing Jennifer Ferrin again, as I grew to love her as Jennifer Munson on As the World Turns! The entire cast was incredibly talented and the show itself was well directed!
The night brought about an Open Bar which was at the same location as last week's open bar and where all the fun happened! I had so much fun hanging with Cait outside of the Mess and it was fun to explore parts of the city I have not explored yet! There is so much fun to be had and who knew Sunday night was considered a party night! Aside from missing my alarm yet again this morning I think the evening was a success... a huge success and up until 9:51AM I was on cloud nine! Now I've promised I won't blog about the events that unfolded this morning and I will uphold that promise. So, instead take a look at what I discovered on my camera phone this afternoon on my way home!
