I was about an hour late watching Big Brother 10 with Laura last night, so when my younger sister Michelle called, I figured she was calling to either complain or rejoice regarding the brand new Head of Household. I answer the phone and quickly say before she makes mention of any type of result: "Shhh, I haven't seen Big Brother yet, don't say anything." Well, she tells me she isn't calling about Big Brother and in fact she doesn't sound like she's going to talk about anything trivial as relality television. Her tone was incredibly serious and I quietly excused myself to the kitchen area to hear what she had to say. Apparently my older sister, Melanie attempted to call our parent's house in Vermont, when there was no answer she attempted our mom's cell phone. Again, no answer. She finally got a hold of my dad who explained they were currently in the Emergency Room. Our younger brother, Tim, earlier that day had a seizure. For those of you who may not be aware, my younger brother (who is actually only 16 months younger than me) is disabled, hanicapped, whatever you wish to call it- to me he's my brother. So, when something like this happens it kind of shakes us up a little bit. They released Tim last night from the ER and he was able to sleep in his own bed and so following my dentist appointment I called the house to hear how everyone was doing. Mom figured once Mel found out, she was going to get in touch with the rest of the siblings so Mom didn't have to worry about telling us and could focus on Tim. Tim's last seizure was when he was in the fifth grade, and then and now we still don't know what was the cause. The doctor's think it could be his increased activity during the day. I found out recently he's been doing more and more with the help of his aids who come during the week! Thankfully everyone and everything is ok... If you wouldn't mind though, keeping my brother in your thoughts, for however long you wish, it would mean a great deal to me. Have a great weekend... I've got a lot going on before I leave for Vermont on the 25th, so stay tuned!
