Today I was such a lazy bum. Well, to some people I might have appeared to be a lazy bum, but I was in fact hard at work. I managed to get up this morning at a decent hour, shower, dress, make the bed and clean up the tissues I had recklessly thrown throughout the night whenever I awoke with the running nose I've been troubled with for the past week. I've been practicing trying to put the tissues in a bag next to the bed, as my week long roomie this weekend might become horrified at what a slob I am. But back to the day I thought would never end! I have been sitting on my couch, with my laptop open and the TV turned on, applying for every single job that has been posted on the internet!!
The phone rang shortly after my shower and I was happy to see it was the temp agency I had called yesterday. Unfortunately they could not see me today, but made and appointment for me tomorrow at 2:30pm. Hanging up the phone, I thought to myself I should try and find a job myself. Pounding the pavement has never been so exhausting and I never even moved my ass from my new couch! I can't tell you how many jobs I have applied to in the past two months, but they have all been something I have been slightly interested in... now I'm getting to the point where I don't care what it is...
The only thing I have accomplished today that I am overjoyed with, I have finally finished reading The Game Penetrating the secret society of pickup artists by Neil Strauss. While this book is not an epic, it did take me quite some time to finish, simply because there was a lot of personal baggage assoicated along side it. Back in February I was checking out the casting pages I usually do, and came across the following casting:

Personally, I like to think of myself as a non-Jewish Seth Cohen, and 
this ad spoke to me. Well, it stuck with me for the entire months of February and March and the beginning of April. I was getting phone calls from LA frequently telling me I was "a breath of fresh air" and totally loving me. The Game describes the society of pickup artists I would have been cast into and I would have enjoyed it, so I orginally thought. I have been reading this book and loving the lifestyle that I could have had, but it would have changed me possibly too much and all of that change would have been aired all over VH1! I still don't know exactly how to feel about not getting the part, I was so close to be flown out to LA for this project, but I guess it was a last minute change.
Atleast today I was able to complete something I was putting on doing for some time now. Finishing the book meant literally finishing that chapter in my life. Well, now it is on to the next new chapter and I know Lizzie will be glad because finishing this book means I can finally start on her's and I've been dying to get it off my mantle and next to my bed!
